The hotels of the Japanese group Monterey were designed with an original concept: the buildings and the interiors are inspired by architectural landmarks, with the purpose of recreating the charm of various cities from around the world.
Among them, the most spectacular building is the Hotel Monterey Osaka, located in Umeda, close to the JR Osaka Station. The hotel’s facade was designed to imitate the impressive rococo style of the Schönbrunn Palace from Vienna, Austria. But what is really remarkable is that at the 8th floor, the hotel’s architecture features a chapel, the perfect recreation of a 14th century church from Bruges, Belgium (with stained glass windows and all).
And this is not only an architectural feature, the chapel is actually used for wedding ceremonies…
