The Japanese castle, symbol of the lord’s power, was a durable construction, made to resist to military attacks and to natural disasters.
At the same time, the sakura cherry blossoms was often present nearby the castle. Perhaps the castle lords were also aware of the ephemeral samurai life, said to be symbolized by the transient beauty of the delicate sakura flowers.
