Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

An unlucky Omikuji

Mon, February 4, 2019, by Muza-chan
Omikuji, the fortune telling slips of paper, are form of divination used for thousand of years at the Shinto shrines. The prediction written on them is considered to have come from the kami, and indicates if luck will be on your side, if a wish will come true, if you'll be healthy or successful in work, school, marriage, and so on.

But if the prediction is bad, or not as good as you hope, the paper slip is folded and tied at the shrine, on places specially provided or on the twig of a tree. It means that the bad luck will stay there, and will not follow you anymore...
