Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Anpanman Terrace Shiodome

Sat, June 25, 2011, by Muza-chan
One of the most popular manga and anime characters in Japan, Anpanman is also one of the longest running series. The Soreike! Anpanman (それいけ!アンパンマン Go! Anpanman) television series started in 1988 and after 33 years is still ongoing, while the Anpanman manga started in 1968 and... yes, it is still ongoing!
There also have been made 22 movies, the last one in 2010.

Given this huge popularity, no wonder that right next to the Nippon Television headquarters, at Nittele Tower in Shiodome, you can find an entire store dedicated to Anpanman.

Of course it's a store dedicated to children, but intensely visited by adults... and the amount of souvenirs and goodies is quite impressive. You had to respect such an amazing career, so I bought an Anpanman plush toy and some cookies shaped like the Anpanman characters...
