Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Aomori Nebuta float, the Dragon and Takeda Shingen

Wed, January 30, 2019, by Muza-chan
The Nebuta float that won The Best Artist Award and Nebuta Grand Prize in 2018 is displayed this year in the Warasse Nebuta Museum in Aomori.

The float's theme is inspired by a fantastic vision of a real historical event, a project of flood control devised by the warlord Takeda Shingen. The legend says that, during the construction works a river flooded, but a dragon came and helped Takeda stop the flood.
