Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Asakusa Nishi-sando street

Around the Senso-ji temple in Asakusa, Tokyo, you can visit a large commercial area, covering a few streets and shotengai shopping arcades. Lesser known to tourists is the shopping arcade located nearby the North-West gate of the temple, named Nishi-sando (Nishi means "West"). Decorated with vermilion pillars, if you have the time to walk around, it is a place well worth exploring.
