Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Auxiliary building at Toshougu shrine, Nikko

Tue, September 17, 2019, by Muza-chan
All the forty-two buildings in the Toshougu complex in Nikko are lavishly ornate with sculptures painted in vivid colors and covered with golden leaf. It doesn't matter if the building is a main hall or an auxiliary storage, they were adorned in the same fashion. In the photo you can see one of the auxiliary buildings, used as for books storage, and to the right there also a Drum tower.
