There are many, many attractions at the Kodaiji Temple in Higashiyama, Kyoto: the two gardens, the temple buildings, the tea houses... But there's even more: up on the hill, the trail winds through a wonderful bamboo grove... Although much smaller than the famous bamboo grove in Arashiyama, it is just as beautiful and a lot quieter...
