Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Taiko Bridge and Old Carps

Fri, October 15, 2010, by Muza-chan
The New Otani hotel was opened in 1964 and it was at the time the tallest building in Japan. The Japanese Garden is, however, much older than that, it was established over 400 years ago and it belonged to a samurai lord, Kiyomasa Kato.

Because of that, it is said that some of the carps from the pond are older than the hotel... and it's probably true, I've seen several enormous carps, like those two from the left of the photo.
