Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Chofu Mori Residence, the Emperor Meiji room

Tue, July 9, 2019, by Muza-chan
During my travels I visited a few historical places that had the honor to accommodate, even for short time, the Emperor Meiji. Photographed here is one of them, the residence of the Mori family in Chōfu (Yamaguchi Prefecture).

The Emperor Meiji stayed in this room while inspecting the troops in Shimonoseki, and after 117 years it is still as it was then.
