Christmas lights in Japan and a bit of history

Since the beginning of Christmas lights mass production, about 100 years ago, Japan became the world's leading manufacturer. The first Christmas lights factory in Japan was established by Louis Szel in 1917, and many other factories appeared soon, producing a large variety of Christmas related merchandise such as decorations, toys and artificial Christmas trees.

It is probably on account of this history that the Japanese cities are today among the most beautifully decorated places in the world during the Christmas time...
