The New Year's Fire Review, Dezome-shiki, is an event organized yearly by the Tokyo Fire Department, to raise people's awareness of fire and disaster prevention.
Dezome-shiki was held yesterday at Tokyo Big Sight and I was inspired to go - it is an amazingly spectacular event, involving hundreds of firefighters and including various parades, stunts and fire extinguishing demonstrations.
