The Dog Statue from Yasukuni Shrine

Not only people suffer because of calamities and wars, the animals are suffering too... That's why in Tokyo, at the Yasukuni Shrine, there is a statue representing a dog, a German shepherd, statue dedicated to honoring the dogs that died during the World War II.
At the base of the statue there are often a few offerings, opened bottles of water...
