Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Floats parade waiting for the traffic light

Sun, December 3, 2017, by Muza-chan
Generally, the Japanese pedestrians are not strictly observing the traffic lights, and you can see them often crossing the street on red light if there are no cars nearby. But when it comes to popular events, the traffic rules are adhered to without fail.

I photographed this scene several years ago, at the parade of the 12 floats used at the Uchiwa Matsuri in Kumagaya, Saitama. Although it was the city's festival, they waited patiently for the green light.
