Hakone Tozan Mountain Railway

Established in 1930, the Hakone Tozan Railway offers one of the most spectacular mountain train journeys in the world. The train departs from the Hakone-Yumoto station and climbs up 1 meter vertically for each 12.5 meters of horizontal distance.

The route has three zig zags, stations where the train reverses direction, and the final stop is the Gora Station, located at a height of 553 meters. The entire journey takes about 40 minutes, and the train passes through an amazingly beautiful landscape...
