Halloween Kappa

Halloween is obviously a modern celebration, imported quite recently... But like many other new celebrations, it was beautifully blended with older, traditional customs.

A nice example is this kappa statue photographed in Kumamoto, featuring typical Halloween adornment. Since kappa are generally considered quite malevolent creatures, they blend well in the general Halloween spirit...
