Himeji Castle restoration works

Four years after the start of the restoration works for the Himeji Castle, this spring marks the beginning of the last step: the removal of the scaffolding, which is expected to be completely dismantled in August 2014.

The work will continue (it is scheduled be completed at the end of March 2015), but this magnificent castle will became visible again. Until then, here's how it looks now, completely covered by the huge scaffolding structure...
