Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum

Sat, August 6, 2016, by Muza-chan
The somber building that houses the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum was the first construction after the WWII designated as important cultural asset of Japan, and it is a symbol in itself.

Designed by the famed architect Kenzo Tange, the museum is built on pillars, above the ground, to express the power of humanity to rise from the ashes. Inside there are disturbing artifacts of the greatest horror in the history of mankind, the atomic bombing...

Today, as every year on this date, we must remember what happened 71 years ago, so that something like that will never happen again.
