Japanese Garden in Winter, Hotoku Ninomiya

Close to the Odawara Castle there's Hotoku Ninomiya Jinja, a shrine dedicated to Sontoku Ninomiya, a Japanese agronomist, philosopher and economist who lived in the 19th century.

Near the shrine there's a beautiful Japanese Garden, with the usual lake full of colorful koi, attracting visitors' attention.
I was surprised how beautiful the garden looks even during winter, when the leafless trees highlight the winter-blooming Japanese Camellia (tsubaki):
