Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Inu hariko, Japanese lucky charm for the year of the dog

Sat, January 6, 2018, by Muza-chan
It is believed that decorating the house with representations of the animal corresponding to the year's Chinese zodiac will bring good luck and prosperity for the entire year.

For 2018, which is the year of the dog, the Japanese papier mâché figure known as inu hariko, is special because, besides being a traditional toy, it is also a popular talisman for easy childbirth and healthy children.
