Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Ishibei-koji, Kyoto

Mon, April 20, 2015, by Muza-chan
Ishibei-koji, a narrow street in Higashiyama, Kyoto, managed to remain unchanged for more than a century, as a wonderful remainder of times long gone. This perfectly maintained 200-meters long passage is lined today by traditional restaurants and ryokans, and because of its twists and turns offers a short but intense trip into the past. I never fail to visit it whenever I'm in Kyoto, I always feel like I'm in a video game...
