Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

African dunes? No, it's Japan, Tottori

Fri, January 3, 2014, by Muza-chan
No, I'm not in Africa, neither on Tatooine... I am still in Japan, inside a unique place: Tottori Saikyo, the largest sand dunes in Japan! And they are large indeed, from the inside it is impossible to see the edge of the sand covered area.

Much like some of the African dunes, the Tottori sand dunes are beautifully shaped by the wind, because the ocean is close by and the area is quite windy.
A charming place, great for a winter visit too, because of the other-worldly feeling it creates... simply beautiful...
