Japanese Gardens, Okochi Mountain Villa

For over 30 years, the famous jidaigeki actor Denjirō Ōkōchi worked to perfect the garden from his villa in Arashiyama, Kyoto. This is an example of a Japanese garden where every plant, stone, alley and building were designed to be in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. In 1962, after his death, the garden was opened to the general public.

Here is my favorite place, a roji type garden: this is a garden through which you must pass before arriving to the chashitsu (tea room), covered by moss and crossed by an alley of unpolished stones...
