Just a small part of Tokyo is comprised of skyscrapers and massive building. Most of the areas are filled with groups of small, two or three storied houses, varied colored, divided by narrow streets... pleasant, quiet neighborhoods.

They look good even when seen from above, like in this image from Minato, Tokyo...
