Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Japanese maple tree art

Thu, September 22, 2016, by Muza-chan
Among all the trees turning colors in autumn, in Japan the maple tree (momiji) is everybody's favorite. Momiji is represented in many art forms, from literature and poetry to painting, being at the same time a symbol of elegance and grace, and an element bringing serenity, calm, and peace.

Here is a very beautiful painting with momiji red maple leafs, on a fusuma sliding panel inside the Kobuntei house in Mito.
