Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Japanese mascots, Peko-chan

Sun, June 15, 2014, by Muza-chan
One mascot that will surely draw your attention in Japan is a girl with big eyes and pigtails, dressed accordingly to the season, about 1 meter tall, with the tongue sticking out on the side. Her name is Peko-chan and she is the mascot of Fujiya Food Service, a large Japanese chain of confectionery stores and restaurants.

Designed about 60 years ago, Peko-chan is one of the oldest and one of the most loved Japanese mascots, and for good reason, because her cute tongue perfectly suggests that you will surely find something yummy inside the store.
