Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Japanese mascots, Yoshiaki-kun

Fri, February 5, 2016, by Muza-chan
The Matsuyama castle was built 411 years ago by Kato Yoshiaki, a samurai lord who distinguished himself in many battles, including the decisive Battle of Sekigahara. He remained the lord of this domain for 24 years, until he was relocated to Aizu.

In Matsuyama, Kato Yoshiaki remained in the memory of people, and today the castle's mascot is the cheerful Yoshiaki-kun, photographed here while greeting the castle visitors...
