Japanese modern architecture, Namba Parks

Opened twelve years ago, Namba Parks was the first modern mall in Osaka, built on the site of the former Osaka Stadium, close to the Namba Nankai Train Station.

The design was made by the urban planning company Jerde, specialized in shopping mall designs, which also designed the impressive Canal City Hakata. Actually, the overall feeling is the same, that of a friendly building, with shapes and colors inspired by nature, with lots of outdoor terraces, ponds and greenery...
