Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Japanese souvenirs, Hello Kitty amulets

Mon, February 16, 2015, by Muza-chan
For the Hello Kitty fans, among the many items made to be sold only in Japan, one that stands out (and is also quite rare) is the omamori, a Shinto amulet for good luck, good health, happiness or prosperity.

What makes it even more appealing as a souvenir is that it comes in the most traditional form, with a prayer paper enfolded in a carefully crafted brocaded silk. Just make sure that you don't open it, it is said that the amulet will lose its powers and you may end up having bad luck... (^_^)
