Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Japanese Street Scenes, Katsushika

Sat, September 17, 2011, by Muza-chan
I think a city is best defined by its neighborhoods, so the best way to judge the beauty of a city is by looking not only at its centers or touristy places, but also at the suburbs.

That's why I want to share with you today a typical Japanese street scene, which I encountered in almost every neighborhood from Tokyo. Just a simple commercial street, with some shops and restaurants and their vivid colored billboards. That's why I like Tokyo more that any other city...

The picture was taken in Katsushika, one of the special wards located in the north-east of Tokyo.
