Japanese Zen gardens, Isshidan, Ryogen-in, Kyoto

The Japanese Zen gardens are never too large, because they are made for meditation and designed to be seen in a single gaze. Traditionally, they are also strictly delimited by walls so that the outside scenery won't distract the viewer.
