Launched in 2002, the E231 train series (on the left of today's photo), in service on the JR East Yamanote line in Tokyo, is about to be retired until the next year.

The replacement is the E235 series (on the right of the photo), and so far a third of the total number of trains were already replaced. Soon, an image like this will become history...
