Awa Odori Dancers

Awa Odori is a folk dance festival originating in the Tokushima Prefecture (Shikoku Island). Groups of dancers and musicians are parading through the streets, wearing traditional dance costumes, chanting and singing.

Each group has two types of dancers, men and women, dancing different routines.
