Kairaku-en garden Kobuntei

Built by Noriaki Tokugawa, the lord of Mito, as relaxation place for him and his family, the Kobuntei house of the Kairaku-en garden in Mito was, at the same time, a place of artistic creation and inspiration. Many artists such as poets and musicians were invited here by the lord, to create inspired by the garden's beauty.
