Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kani Doraku Dotonbori Higashimise

Fri, May 31, 2019, by Muza-chan
Established in 1960 in Dōtonbori, Osaka, Kani Doraku was the first restaurant with the idea of using a supersized 3D sign representing a monstrous, 6-meters mechanized crab.

Today, Kani Doraku is a chain of restaurants present in several cities, and their distinctive sign remains the mechanized crab, photographed here at the Kani Doraku Dotonbori Higashimise (East branch) restaurant.
