Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kansai Airport Arrival

Sun, August 21, 2011, by Muza-chan
Yesterday I landed in Japan, at the Kansai Airport in Osaka. It feels so good to return to Japan! The next month's posts will probably closely follow my journeys, as I know from experience that I'll be tempted to write about current events...

This time I'll be visiting in Japan many, many new places. I'm "armed" with a Japan Rail Pass and I will travel to Hiroshima, Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe, Nara, Nagoya, Yokohama and of course Tokyo, plus several other places...

I was asked by so many people about the "dangers" of visiting Japan, that I feel the need to give an answer in writing: I am an engineer, I have a scientific mind and I have analyzed a lot of information (real information, not tabloids) and I can summarize in just one sentence: YES, it is safe to visit Japan!

The Kansai Airport's arrivals lobby surprised me with warm tones of color and a spectacular architecture. And I just learned an interesting fact - this four-storey building holds the record of the longest airport terminal in the world, with a total length of 1.7 kilometers!
