Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kashiya Yokocho, Kawagoe

Fri, January 25, 2019, by Muza-chan
Maintaining a sweets-making tradition started more than 120 years ago, the Kashiya Yokocho (meaning "Sweets Store Alley") street in Kawagoe is recognized as a Japanese top "100 Scent Scenery".

A sweet and appetizing aroma surrounds the shops selling karintō, rice crackers, soft cakes and sweet potato flavored ice creams (my favorites), and it is certainly a must visit place, if you like sweets, of course.
