Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kiyosu castle, old seat of the Oda clan

Tue, October 30, 2018, by Muza-chan
Located in a strategic area, at the crossroads of two important roads, the Kiyosu castle was originally owned by an important clan, Shina, who were the governors of three important provinces. As a vice-governor was named the Oda clan, represented by Oda Toshisada.

The castle remained in the administration of the Oda clan and after the death of Oda Nobuhide, was disputed by two rival factions fighting to takeover the clan. It was finally conquered by Oda Nobunaga, the warlord who later attempted to unify Japan.
