Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kobuntei azalea room

Mon, June 11, 2018, by Muza-chan
The Kobuntei mansion in the Kairaku-en garden was the residence of the lord of Mito, Noriaki Tokugawa. One of its most prominent features are the rooms decorated with painting with floral motifs, each of them with a different theme.

Photographed here is the azalea room, a plant representative for Kairaku-en, because there are almost 400 azaleas here, all blossoming in the spring.

Kobuntei, Mito
