Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Kobuntei Chrysanthemum room

Thu, August 25, 2016, by Muza-chan
One of the most beautiful medieval lord residences opened to public visits is Kobuntei, built inside the Kairaku-en garden in Mito by its original owner, Tokugawa Nariaki, the lord of Mito.

This three-story wooden building was faithfully reconstructed, with each room decorated with a different floral model. Photographed here is the Chrysanthemum (kiku in Japanese) room.
