Kodaiji garden Moon Viewing pavilion

Kobori Enshū was a prodigious Japanese scholar who, at the beginning of the Edo period, created its own tea ceremony style (Enshū-ryū), and was also a painter, a master in the art of flower arrangement, and an accomplished architect, designing several castles and gardens.

Photographed here is the garden of Kodaiji, Kyoto, which remained until today as it was originally designed by him. The garden combines the beauty of the nature elements with a few buildings, like the covered bridge on the right of the photo, named Kangetsu-dai, "Moon Viewing Pavilion".
