Kotobuki Bako
The box photograped here, named kotobuki bako, was made for an old Japanese custom of reserving memories related to a happy event. Shaped like a caddle with a traditional dressed doll, it was used in the past to keep a child’s umbilical cord, which was put inside the doll’s clothes. However, the kotobuki bako can be used for any other objects reminding of a happy event.
