One of the 5 Zen gardens of the Ryogen-in temple in Kyoto, the Koda-tei, is said to represent the "truth of the universe". The sand creates a river flowing from the first rock, called "A", to the second, called "Un". Put together, "A" and "Un" are signifying the beginning and the end of the universe...
