Yurikamome Odd Terminus

The New Transit Yurikamome line was opened in 1995, connecting Tokyo with Odaiba island, running from Shimbashi Station to Ariake. At the time, it was bearing the complicated name of "Tokyo Waterfront New Transit Waterfront Line"...
The line was successful, and in 2006 was extended with 4 stations, to Toyosu.

Unusually, the elevated track does not end at the last station, it oddly continues for a few meters. This is not an urban art form (although I kind of like it...), the explanation is that when the station was built, a new extension was already planned, but construction hasn't started yet...
