At the beginning of this year I was in Nagasaki, visiting the places reminding of the atomic explosion and I was deeply moved by the sight of the two camphor trees from the Sanno Shrine, located only 800 meters away from the explosion epicenter. These trees, although burned by the explosion, survived somehow, as a favorable omen for the future of the city and as a living prayer for peace...
