Mandarake, Japanese manga & anime store

Established 28 years ago inside the shopping mall Nakano Broadway as a second-hand manga dealer, Mandarake is today one of the largest manga and anime vendors in Tokyo. Nakano Broadway is still the home venue, but today Mandarake owns here 26 different stores, focused on all kind of manga, anime, games and cosplay related items.

As the entrance to this store suggests with its Shinto style gate, Mandarake is certainly an otaku paradise. The store photographed here is specialized in old and rare toys. In fact, maybe it really is a shrine dedicated to toys, with Sato-chan as guardian...
