Muza-chan's Gate to Japan

Matsuyama castle Ichinomon gate

Wed, November 6, 2019, by Muza-chan
The Matsuyama castle is a complex made of 21 buildings and towers connected by thick walls and gates. They create a labyrinth designed to ambush eventual attackers in narrow and closed areas, like the one in this photo.

In this place, the attackers entering through the Ichinomon gate were caught in this narrow courtyard and hit from the yagura turret.
