The custom of decorating a Christmas tree was brought to Japan by the first Christian missionaries, more than 450 years ago, but the first modern Christmas tree was displayed in Ginza 100 years ago.

Today, one of the most famous Christmas trees in Tokyo is in Ginza too: the Mikimoto Jumbo Christmas Tree, located in front of the Mikimoto main store, already a 37 years old tradition...
