Amazingly, one of the stores selling kaminari-okoshi survived until today on the same spot: Tokiwado, the building on the left of Kaminarimon. The beautiful building we see today was rebuilt after the war with an inspired design, matching the gate's architecture. As for the sweets, they are still prepared in front of the customers (video), exactly like in the Edo period... And although I cannot eat too much of them, they are my favorite Japanese traditional sweets... (^_^)
