When it was built, with its height of 56 meters (36 meters the tower and 20 the foundation) the Nagoya castle was the tallest building in the area. Here it is now, photographed from the tallest building in Nagoya, Midland Square, which has the second highest open-air Observation Deck in Japan (247 meters).
